Long time PMR resident Mo Berg brings in some new comers, adding Bull Lee to the PMR repertoire. What started as a plan to begin laying tracks for 4 new songs ended after a long day in the studio and the basic tracks for 7 songs. What a great bunch of musicians! Good times! |

......1950 to 2008 | It is with sad regret to inform you that PlasticMeltdown has lost a long time friend and a true member of the Meltdown family. Michael Bannister has been a member of the PMR organization laying drum/percussion tracks since the early 80's. One of the greatest drummers we ever knew. Michael has recorded and jammed with many top notch bands such as Greg Berg, Peter Case, The Plimsouls, Four Wheels Down, Burning Sky, Lucinda Williams, Michelle Shocked and many many others... He will be deeply missed by all of us here. Much love my brother.

......Blue Mama | Disgruntled members of Blue Mama who performed on the scraped "Be Careful What You Dream" soundtrack bring new life to the project. According to Phil Hawkins (drummer) "Why can’t the (BCWYD) project be released as a Blue Mama project since it is Blue Mama whom is the backing band on the CD anyways". Joe agrees stating that the songs are definitely good enough to stand on their own (without the play it was produced for)... Dennis Roger Reed goes on to express that "Blue Mama would never release a CD by which Joe sings every song". So with a little reworking of the songs by allowing Dennis, Tim, and Marty to redo some lead vocals we may just get a brand new Blue Mama Release in the very near future... keep your eyes open for more when it becomes available! |

.......BCWYD | Another re-write of the play "Be Careful What You Dream" causes the long awaited soundtrack CD (under the same name) to be scraped...at least for now. The once top priority CD produced by Joe Mama, Josh McKendry, & Dennis Roger Reed has taken a back seat to the actual production of the play it was performed and produced for. According to Joe, the changes in the story line actually made the music on the CD irrelevant to the story line of the play it was intended for. Looks like the online downloads of the songs will be the only way to obtain them until further notice. |

......Bull Lee | The new "Bull Lee" DVD has just been completed. Filmed and recorded live at Mirror Image Studios, the soundtrack turned out a completely bass less product so the tracks were brought to PMR where we took the master DVD tracks and re-overdubbed the bass. We then remixed and re-mastered the project and then re-synchronized it back with the video.... flawlessly I may add. Look for it out soon on youtube/myspace or back here at PMR when we get to it. |
